The Villages at Lone Oak is a large single-family home community along the eastern shore of Lake Tawakoni less than a two-hour drive from Dallas. Amenities include an 18-hole golf course design by Jeffrey D. Brauer Golfscapes and numerous water sports associated with the lake. Entrances to the Villages are marked by tree-lined boulevards which lead through to the open space areas. The Villages consist of a combination of lot types including alley-loaded and front loaded garages. Several existing farm related structures and a vineyard were incorporated into the design as feature elements. Future development plans may include a marina on a tract of land to the south and integrated trail connections to the wildlife preserve to the north.
